That darn dog!!

Nothing is innocence personified quite like a Ridgeback with threads in it's mouth. Not content with getting her nose everywhere yesterday today Quizzy dog (she's not behaving like a Star at the moment!) stole 2 skeins of thread whilst I was getting a cuppa. Then in the middle of sewing the lovely blue bird you can see pictured, I suddenly came to a halt as my thread was caught on something - the something was her teeth!!! She's worse than a toddler. By comparision the real children were exceedingly well behaved - I didn't hear a squeak out of them all afternoon.

Still have some embroidery to do on blue bird, but hopefully I'll be able to show off his completed wing tomorrow.

After 10 days of virtually non-stop decluttering the whole house in preparation for redecorating, I'm burnt out tidying, so today I settled down to do some crafting. Actually the little Scottie keyring I started last night, but only finished him today. With my studio (aka the spare room) in total disarray and my secondary studio (aka the sofa) taken up by children, I ended up working at my dining room table. This was far too interesting for Quizzy Dog so I ended up with a big brown nose inspecting what I was doing far too much!!

Yes I know she's not a Scottie (Ridgebacks are my hubby's breed of preference), but you can just see Jamie the Scottie in the corner of the picture.

Merry Christmas!

As usual I was wrapping presents for the littles until way too late last night, but I did have an incentive to wake up this morning. My family got me a Sizzix Big Shot and some dies, so I have been playing this morning. Had to mutilate some felt to get all the attachments right, but as you can see I eventually got it right. Watch this space for some lovely felt makings in the next few days. Merry Christmas everyone.

It's craft, but not as you know it!

Although today was crochet club day and I learnt the lovely ripple pattern, I've decided to share what else I've been doing today. Given that Christmas is next week and we are unlikely to have snow, I decided to add a little frosty festive cheer to my nails. Whoever invented nail stickers is a genius!

Christmas is coming!

Although I have had my Folksy shop for some time now, I am only now dipping my toes into blogland. With only a week to go until Christmas, this is probably not the best time to be starting a blog, but here we are anyway.

I am sold out of my Christmasy stuff (except for a few orders still left to fill) and am starting to think ahead to the next seasonal event - Valentines. Of course in starting to think of new ideas, I'm coming up with hundreds of non-Valentines ideas that I want to start right now! I could definitely do with a few more hours in the day to be creative.

Watch this space though as I just have to make a Scottie keyring to go with the name!!
